Steven D. Cole

Steven Cole is a dedicated attorney and military officer with a diverse background in criminal law, administrative law, and government contracting. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Eastern Michigan University and his Juris Doctor from The University of Toledo College of Law.

Currently, Steven serves as a Judge Advocate (1LT) in the United States Army Reserve, providing legal counsel on military justice matters, supporting administrative separation actions, and advising commanders on military law. His prior experience includes roles as an Assistant District Attorney and Senior Assistant District Attorney in New York, where he managed complex felony and misdemeanor cases, conducted grand jury presentations, and negotiated plea agreements. He has also served as an Assistant Public Defender, vigorously representing indigent clients in court.

In addition to his courtroom experience, Steven has worked as a Contract Specialist for the Defense Logistics Agency and as an Attorney Advisor at the Department of the Army’s Detroit Arsenal, advising on labor, employment, and administrative law issues. He represented the Army in labor and employment litigation before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Merit System Protection Board as well as in grievances and arbitrations.

Throughout his career, Steven has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service, legal excellence, and leadership in both civilian and military capacities. He now joins our firm to represent individuals in all types of employment disputes such as discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination ensuring that the each client’s individual goals are the focus of his representation.
